What? Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 is a trend on the internet. Web 2.0 is the second phase form the development of the World Wide Web. It is about the change from a collection websites to a complete platform for interactive web applications. Especially the word ‘interactive’ is important. Now you can add some new information, you add what YOU want. Examples of Web 2.0 include social-networking sites, blogs, wikis, video-sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, mashups and folsonomies.
A well-known example is Social Media. Social Media is an online service, platform or site that focuses on building and reflecting of social relations among people who share interests or activities.
Five pages which I recently added to my web 2.0 database:
– Google Buzz (http://www.google.com/buzz?hl=nl)
– Blinklist (http://www.blinklist.com)
– Blippy (http://www.blippy.com/)
– Remember the Milk (http://tinyurl.com/35kq2c)
– Volleyball Competition Manager (http://tinyurl.com/3yzvpd6)
The first four examples are uprising in the whole world, the last one is a Dutch example. So far I didn’t use them a lot because: You have to bring in a lot so it takes you at least three hours to import all your information. OR: I don’t know people who use it, that’s why it’s not so Cool, because you can’t share things. So I still have to invite my friends. Enclosed: please visit these pages and add me as your friend!
